QRS reduction / removal filters are a general purpose filter which use Granular Activated Carbon media. These systems can be fitted at the incoming mains pipes and vastly reduces chemicals (including herbicides and pesticides) and chlorine to give great tasting odorless water for the whole house.

Activated carbon filters remove / reduce many volatile organic chemicals (VOC), as well as benzene, trihalomethanes (THMs), radon, solvents and hundreds of other man-made chemicals found in tap water. The system is very efficient at removing Chlorine from tap water. 

These systems are not designed to remove any metals or bacteria.  

The media within these vessels will need replacing yearly as the media gets exhausted or the unit will need replacing. Media or vessel change will depend on the quality and quantity of water being used but on average this will be changed annually.

The system can treat up to 300,000 litres of water dependent on chlorine levels in the mains supply.
