This unique alternative to UV sterilisers comes as a module in an industry standard Big Blue housing with 1" ports. Ideal for locations where power supply may not be near to the desired point for treatment, it will handle up to 2,000 litres per hour.

The Doulton Rio2000 is a 6 element ceramic filter module that installs inside Big Blue type water filter housing. Typically used as part of a whole house water filter system, and is a great alternative to UV water treatment systems since it does not require electricity. The Sterasyl ceramic filters are impregnated with silver to prevent bacterial growth.  Filters can be cleaned with a brush or scotch brite pad when dirty to restore flow.

Specifications:

• Cleanable, long life filters.
• 0.9 micron absolute filtration rating.
• Housing is available in 3/4 “or 1" inlet / outlet.
• Whole house filtration.
• Comes complete with housing, bracket, wrench and mounting screws.

Ceramic filters remove:

• Pathogenic bacteria (e-coli, cholera, typhoid, salmonella, shigella, klebsiella terrigena).
• Cysts (cryptosporidium, giardia, etc.).
• Sub-micron particle contamination.

Please note that this unit is only designed to remove pathogens. Additional contaminants can be removed by adding one of our other whole house filter tanks.

More than one RIO2000 may be needed and plumbed in parallel if your application requires higher water flow.
